When a motor SKU goes through a big retailer, it moves through the supply chain as fast as possible. That means: factory ships, sits in a warehouse for 6 weeks, ships again, sits in another warehouse, then finally gets to you. Temperature cycles during shipping affect bearing preload. Humidity affects stator winding insulation.
By the time you get them, you have no idea if they were stored correctly.
Pre-Tested Batch: What It Actually Means
