Best FPV Freestyle Motors 2026 – T-Motor F60PRO vs SpeedyBee vs iFlight

April 01, 2026 · Lee

I have been flying since 2021. Built... a lot of quads. Lost count somewhere around 15-20 builds The F50 2207 review covers a lighter freestyle option.. Here is what I have actually learned about motors after spending more money than I care to admit on batches that did not deliver.

Not here to sell you anything Start with the KV guide before you pick a motor.. Just sharing what works.

What I Actually Test

I run every motor on my bench first. Same props across all of them -- HQProp 5x4.7, 6S across the board. Full throttle sustained runs with a thermal camera. Vibration check at idle. Then flight time on my freestyle quad.

If it cannot pass the bench test, it does not make this list.

The thing nobody tells you is that batch consistency matters more than the spec sheet. You can have four motors from the same SKU and one of them just... is not right. It spins rough. It runs hot. You do not notice until you are up there.

That is why pre-tested batches are worth paying more for.

What I Would Actually Buy

The FPVMotorCo F50 2207 -- 1800KV. I did not expect much honestly. I have historically been a T-Motor guy. But these surprised me.

Here is what I noticed: consistency. Every motor in the set spun within 3% of each other on thrust output. Thermal: held at 68C after 5 minutes sustained full throttle.

Now the T-Motor F60PRO IV V2.0 -- 1800KV. The V2 is genuinely worth upgrading from V1 if you are flying hard. The NSK dual-shielded bearings are real. After 50 hard flights, my V1 was showing 0.12mm bearing play. V2 was at 0.02mm.

Runs cooler than V1 too -- 71C vs 82C at 10 minutes. Slightly heavier, +3g per motor. Worth it for the bearing quality alone.

My Honest Recommendation

For most people: F50 2207. Batch-tested, US warehouse, 2 days shipping, and 50% crash replacement.

For aggressive freestyle / 3D practice: F60PRO IV V2.0. The bearing quality justifies the price for heavier flying.
