This motor shaves nearly 5 grams per corner compared to a standard 2306, bringing your all-up weight down without sacrificing the torque you need for freestyle tricks. The 2405 stator is wider than a 2207 but shorter than a 2306 — a geometry that keeps weight low while maintaining strong magnetic flux for responsive throttle control.

1800KV is the unicorn number. It runs clean on both 4S and 6S batteries. On 4S with 5-inch triblade props you get a lively, responsive feel that's perfect for lighter builds and indoor-style freestyle in tighter spaces. On 6S the same motor opens up — punch-outs feel immediate, and the top-end speed surprises pilots who expect a lightweight motor to gas out early. The Unibell construction means no set screws to back out, no bell separation mid-flight. This motor really shines on sub-250g 5-inch builds or lightweight freestyle quads. Pair it with the F411 AIO for a simple, clean stack that keeps weight down. Target 230-250g AUW with a 4S 850mAh pack — the result is a quad that feels like a lightweight on 4S but can also rip on 6S with the same motors.

Prop choice matters here more than with heavier motors. 3-blade props give you the grip to leverage the 2405's torque without bogging down. The 5-inch carbon fiber triblades are a strong match — they add bite without adding the weight of a full plastic triblade. For racing, drop to 2-blade Gemfans to shed every possible gram.
