Anti-Vibration Mounting — The One Upgrade That Fixed My OSD Glitches

What Vibrations Actually Do to FC Sensors
The MEMS gyroscope in your FC is sensitive to high-frequency vibration. Standard rubber grommets filter low-frequency frame vibration but pass high-frequency vibration directly to the sensor. At certain throttle conditions, this causes the gyro to see motion that is not there — which corrupts the OSD data stream from the MAX7456 or equivalent chip.
The fix is not a better FC. It is better isolation between the frame vibration source and the FC.
The Silicone Ring Solution
30pcs silicone ring anti-vibration mounts. M3 sized, placed between the FC and the standoffs. The silicone absorbs high-frequency vibration before it reaches the gyro.
After I installed them: OSD glitching completely gone. Video feed clean at all throttle levels.
Installation Tips
- Use all 4 mounting points — if you only use 2, you create a stress point
- Do not overtighten the standoffs — the silicone rings compress and you lose the damping effect
- Check that the FC is sitting flat after installation — uneven mounting creates its own vibration mode
